The Shristi: A Trophy, a Girl from Class, and 14 Years of This
They started this in high school. The trophy is named after a girl from class. That part is real.

Keeps finding a way to mention Devyn isn’t done.

They were at Stratford in 2012. Somebody wanted a league, somebody wanted a trophy, and a generic cup felt like something other people would do, so they named it the Shristi after a girl from class. I’ve been told this story enough times that I stopped asking if it was a bit. It isn’t. If you haven’t held it, you’re not really in the argument.
Mcfussdaddy has five. He ran the room for years. JC sits shotgun on that team and is usually the smartest person on the call. Nathan has two on the Delinquents, one of them voided after the startup draft with Matthew, which the room has not forgotten. Thomas has three, including last year. Lucas has two and the gavel. Hefner has one. Holden has one that people still call lucky, plus three ejections.
Greer took over one of Holden’s old teams and has been a pain ever since, in the good way. Morgan is treasurer and 1–0. John Mitchell owns a Chick-fil-A, has kids, and somehow still set a lineup. Devyn doesn’t have one yet. He’ll keep trying.
We named it after her. The rest of you can catch up.
Empire rules came later: repeat and it resets, and Thomas can’t trade this year because he’s the sitting champ. That’s the whole constitution. Everyone’s still here. The trophy’s still ugly in the way that matters. We’ll keep writing until someone repeats or Holden gets kicked out a fourth time.
