Hefner lost a week his bench quarterbacks covered.

Hefner did not lose this week because the backs failed. Taylor, Judkins, and Henry all got there, and he still finished at 125.58, which would have won three other games in the league. Nathan finished at 130. The record is 1–3. That is the part that is allowed to bother him.

Drake Maye had 26.16 on the bench. Bryce Young had 21.46 and Cam Ward had 15.58, both sitting as well, while Lamar started and had 18.88 with the ankle tag still on him. Three quarterbacks outscored or matched the neighborhood of the starter, and only one of them is a serious conversation. Maye is that conversation. It is not a reason to cut the room, and it is not nothing. Week 5 is Fuss, who just put up 150. Saquon is still out. The backs are still why this roster is dangerous. The score says they needed one more quarterback point, and the bench had them.
