The streak was five weeks, and it was the kind of thing this league does not do. Fuss led the league in scoring in weeks 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The numbers were 149, 148, 150, 173, and then 107, which was the quiet one and still first. Week 1 had been Thomas, at 154. Nobody else got a week in between. Week 7 did.

Greer scored 137 and beat Lucas, who is now 0–7. Pollard had 33.5, which was the best line in the league. Jameson Williams had 21, Gordon had 16, and McCaffrey had 16. It was not a strange kicker week. The names that were supposed to be the roster finally had the Sunday, and the record is still 3–4. Both of those can sit next to each other. One does not erase the other.

Fuss scored 127 and beat Devyn, 127 to 115. JSN had 22 and Javonte Williams had 22. Shough had 14, which is a normal week after the 27 he had when the rest of the league went quiet. Devyn’s side was not a giveaway. Burrow had 29, Bucky Irving had 23, and Higgins had 21. Fuss won a game he was supposed to win, and he did it without the thing that had started to feel automatic. He is 6–1. He has 947 points. He is still the team. He is not on a six-week run, and I am not going to write it as if the sixth one happened and then got taken back. It stopped at five.

The rest of the week is the other argument about who is close. Nathan had 125. Hefner, a week after selling the stars, had 118. The gap from Greer’s 137 to the next score was about ten points, not two. Five in a row is the record this desk has in front of it. Six would have been a different story, and it is not the one that happened.
